Day 2 : What the frack happened?

So....Kinect. Im not sure how to take it. Thats all really. They did damage to the press chances with that ....thing they made us do.

E3 has been dull though so far. Yes, we got a free console (mines being sent to the UK) but that's all it is. Its a free console because we have to review from new hardware. Its logical really. The thing that really pushes my buttons was Ubisoft showing how much of a totally fracked up bunch of loonies they are. Seriously, the Assassin's Creed stuff looks STUPID. They gave us a crossbow finally in the game...AFTER YOU GAVE US A GUN! Do i have to pull out a flow chart to show you that going backwards in tech, makes the flow of gameplay from game to game feel stupid! GRAH! On the same line of that idiotic mistakes...was "Laser tag". I kid you know. They are going to sell guns, that you plug in via USB and register. You then go out, play over the city/town/fields/your house. You then reconnect them and your added to a scoreboard.

You know what, im not done with Assassin's Creed. What the hell are you thinking? I loved the first game and i know many that did. You had a interesting concept that was ruined by a few problems, you fixed them in two only to make VASTLY new ones that ruined the game. Your answer is to make a SIDE GAME?! with Ezio (because fan-wankery is a good money making tool) going to Rome to finish the fight against the templar. Only the small problem with that is HIS STORY FRACKING ENDED! Im not going to ruin it as its not worth ruining but they ended it. They said how it ended, they showed you it. HE HAS NO MORE STORY. Making up a stupid reason because you want money makes your universe feel thin and uncaring of its own rules. The announced AC3 and its going to be in Egypt but fans wanted the japan idea. Why did you side-step it? The idea of a female assassin would of brought more girls into the idea, would of given interesting ideals on gender identity as well as showing that your main hero, Desmond isn't a total waste of space in the story anymore because THATS WHAT I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IN THE END! GRAH!

Anyway.....im sorry.

Getting back on track, i did a lot of thinking while looking over at the Starwars gameplay. Yes, the CGI film made 1-3 look like crap. It made me want to play. Bioware are so good at doing that, making me want to play a game. It seems strange though that i have to point out that a thing they talked about called Player Housing is ruined by there own concept. In games like Warcraft, D&D and other such games, housing is used as a rank of status and safety. Its also a place you can hang your hat. Its why fans are so wanting it in WoW because it lets them boast that they own a home. In SWTOR, its going to be our ship. A base of operations for you to plan your attack. That changes what it is, its not housing. Its a base and while most think its the same, its not at all. If im going home, i want it to be a place i can put a claw on the wall and say "I killed that today, it was a battle worthy of song". Not "I need to repair something and log out" (this is what they have said, im going to interview them today so il confirm this). Its a small difference really that changes how you play the game. Much like the MMO Champions Online Vs DC Universe online. Same basic concept as in you are playing as a superhero. The big change comes when you are forced to take on the powers of another hero. While i understand its to keep copyright infringement down, its changed the game to "sidekicks online". Still, what pisses me off the most in that game is the level 25 Doomsday. Why not make him dance while your at it. HE'S CALLED DOOMSDAY FOR A REASON!

Blah. Today's plan of attack.
Bioware.
Bethesda
Sony
Find tea that doesn't suck.
Try to work out whats going on over at Ubisoft.
Play Magic when i get home because it better be downloaded.
Maybe beat Ark and Prof in a first person shooter. :)
